Summer is here in full glory and now is the perfect time to flaunt beautiful in summer dresses and enjoy the delicious seasonal fruits.

Over the summer holiday, our skin seems more prone to damage – think hot summer temperatures, extremely dry climates and dehydrated skin from a mix of constant air-conditioning, aeroplane travel, a lack of sleep and partying. Whatever the cause, your skin probably needs an extra boost of moisturization and nourishment.

Learn easy methods to keep your skin healthy during those hot and humid summer months. Keep your skin clean for a vibrant summer look.

Choose a foundation with SPF

We all know that applying a light layer of SPF before your foundation is one of the most important beauty lessons to have a radiant skin. But, if you often forget to slap on the sunscreen or you’re looking for a protective boost then opting for an SPF-infused foundation is the next best thing.  One of the best foundation with SPF 15 is Clinique Even Better.

If you are not happy with the foundations that you are using, then you should give Clinique Even Better foundation a try. This product has a lot of shades – more than 20, ranging from the lightest to the darkest, so you would be easily able to find your match from such a tone spectrum.

Do not consume too many snacks and salty products

What you eat shows on your face. Do not consume too many snacks and salty products as salt can have a dehydrating effect on the body. Include high water content fruits in your diet like watermelon, cucumber, oranges and lettuce which will give you nutrients and anti-oxidants. Include green vegetables in your diet as they help to improve the immune system and decreases stress level in the body.

If you are not vegetarian, please try to control your meat intake. Meat is difficult to digest and also raised the body temperature, which can result in ugly pimples.

Use sunscreen

Always apply a sunscreen which contains high SPF, 30 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Sunscreen not only prevents skin darkening and skin damage but will also protect you from harsh UVA rays that can lead to skin cancer.

Reapply the sunscreen every two hours and opt for a waterproof sunscreen. Try to stay indoors during 10 am to 4 pm as the sun rays are harshest during that time and can have adverse effects on the skin.

Moisturise the face and body

No matter what the weather is, never forget to moisturise the face and body. Avoid oil based moisturiser and opt for water based moisturiser and massage gently on the skin to get a soft and smooth skin.

For example, I use Philosophy “Hope in a Jar” and my skin is soo moisturised and soft. It not only feels good, but it also looks good too! This is an extra-rich moisturiser for normal to dry skin and for my point of view is the best moisturiser for summer time. This has a perfect consistency; creamy, wonderfully and a fresh scented. Can’t praise this product high enough! Not too heavy, nor too light. I love it.

“Hope in a Jar” is a good product, you only need a small amount so that the jar will last you a long time. You will not be disappointed if you will use this creme.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is necessary to remove the dead skin that gets accumulated on the face and other parts of the body.

Keep your skin free from nasty build up and debris by regularly exfoliating. Getting cleansers and leave on essences which contain low concentrations of alpha hydroxy acids and washing your face with a soft washcloth or a dermal brush for a gentle scrub will be helpful. Periodically schedule a deeper, more intense professional exfoliation to force drastic skin turnovers every so often.

Exercise

Exercise helps to get rid of the toxins and gives you glowing skin. Do simple workouts or yoga every morning to feel good and stay fresh. If you feel too lazy to work out, walk as much as you can – you will have more energy, lose those extra pounds and will get a fresh and healthy skin. Exercise also increases the blood circulation of the body and promotes the supply of blood that gives the skin a natural and healthy glow. This is the simplest answer to how to get glowing skin.

Make your health your number 1 habit and your skin health should naturally follow suit. Don’t surrender your skin to the harsh summer conditions most especially now that you know how you can keep your skin wonderfully amazing even in the heat of summer.

These tips will help you to get rid of all skin problems and will give a lot of confidence to face the world. So get ready to flaunt a younger, better and glowing skin this summer.
