t’s no secret that Kendall Jenner has suffered from acne in the past, with the star speaking out on numerous occasions about her battle.

Now she’s shared exactly how she managed keep it under control and the ingredients are probably already in your kitchen cupboard.

The 20-year-old supermodel took to her website to reveal the recipe for her zit-fighting face mask, which only has two ingredients.

Kendall whips up her face mask in the kitchen using just egg whites and lemon, which she claims tightens her pores and balances her skin’s natural pH levels.

Speaking to Refinery 29, skin-care expert Renée Rouleau said the concoction is a sure-fire way of preventing breakouts.

“When something with a low pH is applied to the skin — in this case, it’s lemon juice — it can dissolve and digest surface dead cells, which prevents oil and bacteria from getting trapped under the pores,” she says.

However she did warn that those dry skin should be cautious when using the mix as it can be quite irritating.

“A good rule of thumb, especially with DIY masks, is to perform a patch test for compatibility prior to using on the whole face,” she said.

Hollywood star Chloë Grace Moretz also opened up recently about her battle with cystic acne and she claimed growing up in the spotlight was difficult, as she had the added pressure of dealing with very bright lights, cameras and an industry fascinated with extremely high standards of beauty.

“I tried changing my diet and my beauty products before going on Accutane. [Having acne problems] was a long, hard, emotional process,” she told Allure.

Rather unusually, she also said she uses the following product to get her now near perfect complexion.

“I wash my face with olive oil,” she said.

“I swear my skin is so much clearer because of it.”
