Almost every trend from the 90’s is making a huge comeback; whether it’s fashion, makeup or hairstyles. Rihanna just brought back brown lipsticks, blue shadows and big amounts of glitter (Yes, we’re talking about her Fenty Beauty holiday collection). On the other hands a lot of celebrities are seen rocking pigtails, scrunchies and barrettes. But just lately, thanks to Instagram, the chunky highlights might be back too.

A New Jersey-based hairstylist posted last month a picture of chunky highlights that immediately went viral on Instagram. Turns out that she is not the only one giving her clients the zebra hair in 2017. Navara Bezerra also has been getting a lot of likes and comments on her chunky highlight creations.

But Bezerra’s work needs respect since getting the highlights spaced like that is not an easy thing to do.

Personally, I am not a big fan of the chunky highlights. The pigtails, the 90s accessory based hair trends are fine too while they are temporary but this might be a little to much for my taste.

Once you regret the chunky highlights, there’s no going back. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
