These days makeup is only as good as what’s used to apply it. Sometimes, when we don’t have the necessary tools at hand, we just cheap out and go for the easiest option which is applying it with your fingers. However, those who refer to themselves as “professionals” tend to know how to handle a makeup brush or sponge. A sponge is more useful for spreading out the makeup on your skin, and it’s quite common when it comes to makeup tools. But how would you feel about a silicone sponge?

Well, that exists, and now, YouTuber Emily Canham has decided to give it a try

I was finding it hard to believe that this really exists, but as it turns out, it really actually seriously does. Back in January of 2017, this 20-year-old YouTuber released a video to her 621k subscribers testing it out to see if it really works.

She uses the sponge to apply her base, and surprisingly enough…

…good results ensue. Although she states that it feels a bit strange to apply it with a silicone sponge and that it’s not a product she sees herself using. It’s still a good product and she gives it the thumbs up!
