Rub some ice cubes

Rub some ice cubes around your eyes for a quick and instant relief from puffy eyes. If ice cubes feel too overwhelming on your eyes, place your fingers on the cubes for some time and then massage your eye area with your fingers.

Wash your face with some cold water

This is one of the easiest ways to get rid of puffy eyes after you let it all out. Cold water calms down your nerves and promotes constriction of blood vessels on your face. Also, cold water calms your senses down and rejuvenates your whole skin, so it’s a win-win situation.

Massage your eyelids and under eye area

Massage your eyes with your ring finger to ease the swelling around them and make the blood circulation better and faster. However, remember to not apply too much pressure and massage in a slow circular motion.

Take a small nap

Taking a small 2-hour nap will give your eyes a much-needed break and help them recover on their own. Chances are that the puffiness around your eyes will be long gone when you wake up from your little nap and your mood will be uplifted too.

Put on some cold cucumber slices

Cucumber slices are often used in spas to relieve and rejuvenate your eyes with their cooling sensation and rich antioxidants. Take a medium sized cucumber and cut yourself two thin slices out of it. Apply them on your eyes and take them off after 20 minutes for best results.

Cold green tea bags

Green tea contains a variety of compounds that help in curing puffy eyes, making them look brighter and more awake. Just brew two bags of green tea and put them in a refrigerator for 15 minutes before putting them on your eyes. Repeat this treatment multiple times if required.

Apply some aloe vera gel

Aloe vera is naturally calming and has a soothing effect on the skin. Being rich in vitamin E and antioxidants it can be an easy and effective solution to get rid of puffy eyes. Just take out some aloe vera gel or pulp and apply it directly onto the affected area for immediate relief.

Massage the bridge of your nose

Massaging the bridge of your nose relieves your sinus and makes the drainage of the tears much easier and reduces the swelling around your eyes. Massaging the nose will also make sure that your nose gets unclogged in case it got blocked.

Baker’s yeast

Baker’s yeast works like a charm on puffy eyes that might result from crying and gives results real quick. Put ½ teaspoon yeast in a cup of warm water and let it settle for 2 minutes. After this, dip two cotton balls into the solution. Now, cover your eyes with these cotton balls for at least ten minutes before washing off.

Saline water

Saline water speeds up the drainage of the water that causes your eye area to swell up and reduces puffiness. To make saline water, add ½ spoon of salt to 1 glass of water and place cotton balls soaked in it on your eyes. Wash your eyes with cold water after a few minutes.
