For a dry skinned girl like me, pore strips are extremely useful. They not only remove blackheads but also is one of the most important tools to keep your face squeaky clean. But sometimes pore strips are not that effective. This can be because of various reasons. Let’s have a look at some of the below-given tips to make the pore strips effective:

1. Clean your Base:

Before using pore strips make sure that your face is all clean and clear. Pore strips work best on a clear base. They will cling onto your nose and thus you will be able to remove maximum blackheads. Use a gentle cleanser like Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Cleanser. This will go a long way in 100% use of pore strips.

2. Steam your Face:

Steaming your face is the perfect way to open up your pores. This will open up the pores and they will loosen their grip on the debris. Thus, your blackheads will eventually come out after some time. That way your pore strip would be really effective in bringing out more and more dirt.

3. Dry The Pore Strip:

Let the pore strip dry for some time. Let the pore strip sit on your nose for some time. Say for 10-15 minutes, rest the pore strip on your nose. This will allow the pore strip to extract all the dirt and thus they would work wonderfully on your face.

4. Direction of Peeling:

Start to peel the pore strip from top to bottom. This is the perfect direction of pulling the pore strip. And try to peel both sides of the pore strip at the same time. This will allow maximum blackheads to come out.

5. Use Clay Masks:

Do you know clay masks also help to bring out the blackheads? Before using pore strips use a simple clay mask. This will remove the dirt and impurities and thus your pores will be much cleaner. And then use pore strips. This way the pore strip will cling tightly to the skin and thus maximum blackheads would be removed in a few seconds.

6. Use Baking Soda:

Do you know baking soda is a wonder ingredient in terms of removing and cleaning pores? Take 1 tablespoon of baking soda and dissolve it in 1 cup of water. Make a baking soda solution and then dip the pore strip in it. Now, apply the baking soda solution on your nose and let the pore strip soak in the solution and then apply it on your nose. Let it rest and then remove it.
