Hi, ladies!!

Today, I am going to give you some tips on how you can get rid of the discolouration of your lips. Many people take care of their face, hair, clothes but neglect their lips (I am one of them). This problem could be caused by many things such as dehydration, excessive caffeine consumption, overexposure to the sun, neglect and not caring about lips or bad lip products. But, there are some easy ways in which you can take care of your lips sitting at home, without buying those expensive lip scrubs that make a hole in your pockets.

So, here are 6 easy home remedies you can do at home in no time.

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is good for your skin, hair, and lips too. Take a few drops of virgin coconut oil in the palm of your hands. Using your fingers, massage it onto your lips. Do this before you go to sleep and repeat it when you get time. Coconut oil has healthy fatty acids which keep the lips well hydrated and makes them more smooth.

2. Lemon juice and honey

Take equal parts of lemon juice and honey and mix well. Apply this mixture on to your lips and let it stay for an hour, then, wipe it off with a wet piece of cloth. Lemon juice contains citric acid which can make dark skin lighter, and honey moisturizes the lips.

3. Almond oil

Take a few drops of almond oil on your fingers and gently massage it onto your lips. Carry this process before going to bed and continue this whenever you get time. Almond oil makes lips smooth and lightens the pigmentation.

4. Beetroot

Take a slice of beetroot and refrigerate it. Take it out once it’s chilled and rub it on to your lips. Wash it off after 20 minutes. Beetroot has detoxifying properties. Beetroot helps lips from getting further damage.

5. Aloe vera gel

This one is my favorite. I just love aloe vera. No matter what skin problem I have, aloe vera is always there to help me. So, take a dab of fresh aloe vera or the gel you get in the store and apply on to your lips; don’t rub it, just apply softly and let it dry and then wash it off with warm water. Aloe vera helps in preventing pigmentation and hydrates the lips.

6. Apple cider vinegar

Take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of water. Mix it well. Apply this solution on to your lips using a piece of cotton. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off. You can do this daily to treat the pigmentation. It helps to treat the pigmentation on your lips.

Do try one of these easy-to-do hacks and hope it helps you!
