According to nail-expert Luciana McGee, one of the most common mistakes when doing acrylic nails is not fitting the nail forms perfectly. It is often done in a haste or with not enough attention.

That’s why in this tutorial you will find all you need to know on how to fit your nail forms properly. This is part of Luciana’s tutorial on really thin, cute stilettos.

After sanitizing your equipment and your nails, push back the cuticles; scape any excess cuticle from the nail-plate away

Use a sanding band to remove all the shine off, then file the nails; remove all the dust and clean with alcohol

Fit the nail forms you will be using to your natural nails

Start applying the acrylic

Apply glass polymer on top of the acrylic

Use a prepping drill bit to get rid of any excess bulk acrylic and file the sides and underneath the sides of the nail; clean the dust with a manicure brush and apply alcohol

Apply some shine on top and add cuticle oil

Check out the video below so that you don’t miss any important steps. Honestly, I don’t know how these nails can fit into everyday work, shopping, babies and cooking, but they sure look cool!
