He’s the man behind some of the most famous manes in the world and now celebrity hairstyle Jonathon Colombini has revealed exactly how to get enviable locks just like Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Let’s face it, the genetically blessed sisters never have a bad hair day and the whole world wants in on what their secret is.

Celebrity hairstylist Jonathon Colombini has given us the low-down on two of the Jenner sister’s most well-known hairstyles.

And now LA- based Colombini, who is in Sydney for one month at La Boutique Salon in Double Bay, has given Be the low-down on two of their key hairstyles.

Kylie Jenner may be the queen of cosmetics but when it comes to her hair, she needs the help of Colombini to get them into the luscious locks we’re used to seeing.

Colombini revealed that they both came up with a nickname for her signature blow-dry, which they like to call her “classic BD” and it turns out it’s pretty easy for us working gals to recreate.

The trick is not to use a lot of product to get that ‘I woke up like this” look Kylie exudes on the daily.

Colombini starts by misting wet hair with a detangling spray and then brushing it out, sprinkling the hair with power to get about 20 per cent of the moisture out.

Colombini is the man behind this hairstyle on Kylie Jenner.

“I still want the hair pretty wet to keep control of tension and the loose wavy curls I achieved with just a round brush,” Colombini told Be.

Colombini sections the hair into pieces while he blow-dries it and uses a boar bristle round brush.

The hairstylist twists the hair around the brush while keeping it in the brush right up to the ends.

“This gives that natural, wavy, lived-in blow-dry without the look of a curling iron,” he said.

While Kylie is a fan of the wavy blow-dry, Kendall prefers a chic and stylish top-knot, which came courtesy of Colombini at the Yeezy Season 3 show.

According to Colombini “the position of the top knot is where it’s at”.

He also created this top-knot on Kendall Jenner before the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show.

“I’ve done several top-knots on Kendall from the no fly-away ballerina bun to the messy next day top-knot. My fav is the messy,” he said.

Colombini said the style is super-simple to achieve, so don’t try to complicate it.

He starts by swooping a ponytail into a high position and securing it.

Next he splits the ponytail in two sections and twists both counter-clockwise before marrying them both together.

“Then take your rope twist and secure with pins around the base of the ponytail to create a knot,” he said.

“Once in place pull pieces out around the hairline to give a more lived-in look. Use hairspray to finish.”
