A mermaid is a wonderful creature. I’m sure at least one of you reading this wishes to be a mermaid.
According to Wikipedia, “A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including the Near East, Europe, Africa and Asia.”
Oh, you know you have a dreamier description than that! Like, mermaids are you, right? Mermaids are your alter ego and stuff. Any day now, you’ll be dipping your feet in the sea and you’ll finally go to your true form.
Any day now.
Okay, on a more serious note: they were first mentioned in 1000 BC, and their origin all comes from Greek mythology. Mermaids were also popularized in pop culture, with movies like Disney’s The Little Mermaid. In folklore, mermaids were often associated with bad luck and misfortune, and they found their place in tons of different Greek mythological stories.
Unfortunately, we can’t transform ourselves into mermaids, but some parts of us can be. Like our nails for example.

The color blue and sequins are very heavily featured, and there’s also the occasional bit of green.
These nails are not just gorgeous, but they seem to perfectly encapsulate what mermaids are all about, just from their colors and presentation.
