Mark Montano, with Make Your Mark, shows us a brilliant way to create a stained glass window that is much easier than the traditional method using lead in between.
I was amazed at how Mark creates this stained glass look on an old window he picked up at a flea market! This is definitely a project I will be doing in the very near future! I’ve always loved stained glass, but was too intimidated to learn how…it looked like too much work! Mark made this look really easy, so I am definitely on board with this DIY project!
What You’ll Need:
- Broken glass pieces
- E-6000 Glue
- Floral Glass Marbles
- E-6000 Glaze Coat
He shows us how he breaks a glass vase by putting it into a paper sack and uses a hammer to break it. Make sure to wear gloves to protect your hands. Place the glass and floral marbles in a pattern that is pleasing to you. If you choose to make the pattern Mark is doing, you can use glass chips for the frames and vines for the flowers. Fill the entire window pane with your design. Then you glue the edges of the broken glass to the window pane.
Watch as Mark Montano does this beautiful DIY stained glass project in his step by step tutorial and transform an old window pane into a stained glass masterpiece!
